Dade County Bar Association Bench & Bar Conference: Friday, February 20, 2015

The Dade County Bar Association will host 1,200 judges, attorneys, in-house counsel, business leaders, and elected politicians at the upcoming Bench & Bar Conference, on Friday, Feb. 20. This is the largest conference of a bar association in Florida for the year. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency, in Downtown Miami. The bar has generously discounted the ticket price by over 90% off to enable students to participate. Students can attend for $20.

The bar has even planned for the schedules of students who take courses, work, or intern on Friday mornings. Students may arrive at 1 PM for a 30-minute networking session. A distinguished panel of judges and attorneys will then offer a discussion on winning job interviews, obtaining judicial clerkships, and building relationships within law firms as new associates. Students may then attend courses ranging from social media law and bankruptcy to criminal law and even a panel featuring a conversation with 15 real jurors. The program concludes with a judicial reception and networking opportunities for students pursuing in-house, firm, and clerkship placements.
